Feedback week 1
Hello
Thank you for taken the time to train your lovely puppy/dog Last Saturday, you’ve received a lot information about how our dogs learn and a daily videos, I hope you have been training your dog during this week any question please don’t hesitate to ask me.Now that I got a big picture of each puppy/dog and owner, I will send you and individual training plan, all dogs are different and that it is ok, barking, jumping, sniffing, chewing are normal behaviours from the point of view of the dog, we will never get rid of those, with training we will manage those behaviour , we cannot change dog’s personalities as humans we only can manage certain behaviour and you should be aware of that. The class last Saturday was noisy, and that was totally fine and normal for me, so don’t worry you are in the right place, we are learning, remember dogs communicate with their bark and body language and we are learning how to understand those tones of barking, we will talk about that next classTraining is not just for the dog, its for the human too, we are learning how to communicate with our dogs, remember we are a team (you and your dog) and team works together. Remember :1. Ask for a behaviour to your dog (hand signal and verbal cue)2. Mark the behaviour “YES” or your own marker word -clicker (it needs to be ½ second after the behaviour happened, means immediately)3. Reward the dog Only 3 repetitions for each exerciseNext Saturday will review the following exercises with the Distraction Element:• Your Hand signals and Your verbal cues• Marker word• Name recognition• Lure• Sit with hand signal• Down/Drop with hand signal & verbal cue• Look/watch me (at your eyes) hand signal• Touch with hand signal & verbal cue• Loose leash (loop of the leash on your right hand and your dog on your left and loose lead showing a happy lead or “U” lead)• Stay with hand signal & verbal cue• Follow my hand
